GIFT Nifty opened today at 24,264.50. It is down -83.50 points (-0.34%) from yesterday’s close of 24,312.00- so the trend is negative.

Royal Orchid Hotels, Cupid, Mahindra & Mahindra, PVR INOX, Aurobindo Pharma, Ola Electric Mobility, Axiscades Technologies, and Patel Engineering are stocks that are expected to attract attention. The Indian stock market concluded Friday’s session, August 28, on a positive note, breaking a two-day losing streak as buying activity surged in the final hour of trading.

Technology stocks played a significant role in the market’s recovery, as positive forecasts from Nvidia and Salesforce rekindled optimism regarding domestic IT stocks, while a depreciating dollar further bolstered the rally in metals. The Nifty 50 concluded the trading session with an increase of 0.35%, reaching 24,175, whereas the Sensex ended at 77,261, reflecting a rise of 0.43% compared to the prior close. However, both indices concluded the week in negative territory, thereby extending their weekly losing streak to three weeks.

  • Royal Orchid Hotels has commenced the procedure to secure a discotheque licence for its establishment situated on Golf Avenue, adjacent to the KGA Golf Course on HAL Airport Road in Bengaluru.
  • Cupid’s board has granted in-principle approval to establish a manufacturing venture in South Africa with a local partner. Cupid is anticipated to maintain a stake of up to 49%, whereas the South African partner and/or qualifying local shareholders are projected to possess a minimum of 51% ownership.
  • Mahindra & Mahindra has broadened its Battery-as-a-Service initiative to encompass its complete electric Origin SUV lineup, which features the BE6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e. Under the program, customers can acquire the BE 6 SPORTEQ beginning at Rs 11.45 lakh, incurring an effective battery usage cost of Rs 3.75 per km.
  • PVR INOX has inaugurated a new six-screen cinema featuring a seating capacity of 949 at Brigade Cornerstone Utopia, located on Varthur Road in proximity to Whitefield, Bengaluru. With the addition, PVR INOX’s network has expanded to 1,786 screens across 356 properties in 113 cities in India and Sri Lanka.
  • Aurobindo Pharma The US FDA has finalised an inspection of Unit-VI, an API manufacturing facility of Apitoria Pharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, located in Andhra Pradesh. The inspection concluded with three observations, which the company characterised as procedural in nature.
  • KP Green Engineering has obtained new contracts totalling 258 crore, encompassing projects associated with solar initiatives, crash barriers, pre-engineered buildings, transmission towers and isolators. Its cumulative confirmed order intake for the current financial year now stands at Rs 497.64 crore.
  • Dhanuka Agritech has established Dhanuka Agritech Europe Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary in Ireland.
  • Ola Electric Mobility has obtained a sanction order from the Ministry of Heavy Industries for the disbursement of Rs 95.81 crore under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Automobiles and Auto Components. This signifies the third consecutive year in which the company has obtained incentives under the scheme.
  • Axiscades Technologies’s board has sanctioned the acquisition of a 90% stake in Bengaluru-based Cloud Wave Technologies for an estimated Rs 234 crore in cash. Cloud Wave operates in the precision engineering and manufacturing industry, and the transaction values the company at an enterprise value of approximately Rs 260 crore.
  • Patel Engineering has finalised the divestiture of its 32% interest in ACP Tollways to APCO Infratech and additional buyers, securing a total consideration of Rs 55 crore.
