GIFT Nifty Opening Update

GIFT Nifty opened today at 23,172.00. It is down -85.00 points (-0.37%) from yesterday’s close of 23,188.50- so the trend is negative.

The Indian stock market is anticipated to commence on a lacklustre note on Monday, 28 September, as GIFT Nifty indicates a tepid beginning for the benchmark indices. GIFT Nifty was trading at approximately 23,161.50, reflecting a decline of nearly 25.20 points from the prior close of Nifty futures, suggesting a flat-to-negative opening for the domestic equity markets. “Indian equity markets are likely to remain cautious as renewed geopolitical uncertainty and a rebound in crude oil prices weigh on investor sentiment. The rejection by U.S. President Donald Trump of Iran’s proposal to resolve the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz has revived concerns over prolonged supply disruptions, making oil prices the dominant factor for global markets,” said Ponmudi R.

Investors in the Indian stock market are expected to monitor various companies on Monday, as significant corporate developments, order acquisitions, fundraising initiatives, expansion endeavours, and other announcements take center stage. SAIL, Power Grid, KPI Green Energy, Godrej Properties, Zydus Lifesciences represent a sector poised to garner significant interest in the wake of recent corporate announcements.
