GIFT Nifty Opening Update
GIFT Nifty opened today at 23,999.50. It is down -59.50 points (-0.24%) from yesterday’s close of 24,010.00- so the trend is negative.
Investors in the Indian stock market are expected to monitor various companies today, 7 September, in light of substantial business updates, new order acquisitions, fundraising initiatives, and investment declarations made after market hours. Rail Vikas Nigam, Lupin, Tata Motors, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, JSW Steel, and Lupin are among the stocks expected to attract attention on Monday. Indian equity markets concluded the week with a sense of caution, furthering their corrective trajectory as high crude oil prices, revived geopolitical tensions, and ambiguity regarding the global interest-rate outlook persisted in affecting investor sentiment. While benchmark indices staged a recovery on Friday, snapping a four-session losing streak, the gains remained constrained due to ongoing foreign investor selling and apprehensions regarding the repercussions of elevated energy costs.
For the week, the Nifty 50 declined approximately 1.15% to close at 23,897.70, while the Sensex fell nearly 1.0% to settle at 76,515.43. Both benchmark indices recorded their fourth consecutive weekly decline, highlighting ongoing weakness in the broader market despite selective buying in individual stocks.
