GIFT Nifty Opening Update

Investors in the Indian stock market are expected to monitor a range of companies on Thursday, September 24, in light of significant business developments, fundraising strategies, order acquisitions, project advancements, regulatory endorsements, and initiatives aimed at reducing debt. Simplex Castings, Max Estates, Sheetal Universal, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, and PC Jeweller are among the stocks expected to attract attention. Exide Industries, Bharat Dynamics, Indo Tech Transformers, Accord Transformer & Switchgear, GHCL, Pyramid Technoplast, and BCPL Railroad Infrastructure are likely to garner interest in light of their recent corporate announcements.
Equities to Monitor:
- Simplex Castings: The company’s board has sanctioned a capital increase via a preferential issue of up to 44.91 lakh equity shares priced at Rs 105 each, totalling approximately Rs 47.15 crore, pending regulatory and shareholder approvals. The board also approved increasing the authorised share capital to Rs15 crore from Rs 10 crore.
- Max Estates: The real estate developer is set to engage in a joint development agreement concerning a 9.76-acre land parcel located in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The project has an estimated development potential of 1.5 million sq ft and a potential gross development value of Rs 2,500–3,000 crore.
- Sheetal Universal has secured an export order valued at $1.22 million from Beacon Star General Trading LLC, a company based in Dubai, for the provision of peanut kernels. The order was received on September 23.
- Motilal Oswal Financial Services has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Motilal Oswal Custodial Services, has obtained SEBI approval to function as a custodian of securities in accordance with the SEBI Custodian Regulations.
- Pyramid Technoplast has secured an amended approval from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, allowing the company to receive, collect, store, and recycle industrial packaging waste, with an authorised recycling capacity of up to 960 MT per year.
- Accord Transformer & Switchgear has successfully obtained an order valued at Rs 20.02 crore, excluding GST, for the provision of 57 wind turbine transformers intended for Aditya Birla Renewables’ project in Bhuj.
- PC Jeweller has successfully repaid its outstanding debt to an additional consortium bank, bringing the total number of banks settled to 13 out of 14. More than 99% of its outstanding bank debt has now been cleared, with the company aiming for a debt-free status within the current month.
- BCPL Railroad Infrastructure has successfully obtained a contract valued at Rs 6.22 crore from the Howrah Division of Eastern Railroad. This contract pertains to the replacement of outdated and corroded cantilever assemblies. The project is slated for completion within a timeframe of 18 months.
- GHCL has been designated as the preferred bidder for the Kadaya limestone block in Gujarat, a decision resulting from an e-auction organised by the state government. The block has a reported reserve of 567,000 metric tonnes.
- Indo Tech Transformers has secured an order valued at Rs 42.88 crore, inclusive of applicable GST, from Leap Green Energy Group. This order entails the manufacture and supply of four transformers designated for solar and wind projects, comprising two 400/33 kV transformers and two 230/33 kV transformers.
- Exide Industries has announced that its material subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions, has successfully commissioned Phase I of its 6 GWh lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility located in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The facility is set to produce lithium-ion cells utilising various chemistries and form factors, catering to both mobility and energy-storage applications.
- Bharat Dynamics has entered into a Rs 810.79 crore agreement with the Ministry of Defence for the provision of Satellite Smart Anti-Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW) and related equipment to the Indian Air Force, classified under the Buy (Indian–Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category.
