GIFT Nifty Opening Update
GIFT Nifty opened today at 22,525.00. It is down -8.50 points (-0.04%) from yesterday’s close of 22,622.50- so the trend is negative.
The Indian stock market is anticipated to commence on a muted note on Thursday, 15 October, as GIFT Nifty indicates a flat-to-negative opening. GIFT Nifty was trading near the 22,601 mark, down approximately 10 points from the previous close of Nifty futures, suggesting a prudent beginning for domestic benchmark indices. On Wednesday, the Sensex and Nifty experienced a decline as investors engaged in profit-taking following the significant rally observed in the prior session. Market sentiment was negatively impacted by an increase in wholesale price-based inflation and consistently high crude oil prices. The 30-share BSE Sensex experienced a decrease of 251.89 points, reflecting a decline of 0.34%, ultimately closing at 72,781.89.
During the session, the index reached a peak of 73,195.26 and a trough of 72,578.75. The NSE Nifty 50 also concluded the trading session in negative territory, declining by 99.25 points, or 0.44%, to finish at 22,622.70. Meanwhile, several equities are poised to capture investors’ attention on Thursday in light of a succession of corporate disclosures. Company-specific developments, including order wins, business updates, expansion plans, and other key announcements, may impact the movements of individual stocks throughout the session. Reliance Industries, IDBI Bank, Wipro, Nestle India, Tata Technologies, Jio Financial Services, and HDB Financial Services are expected to attract attention on Thursday.
