GIFT Nifty Opening Update
GIFT Nifty opened today at 23,329.00. It is down -127.00 points (-0.54%) from yesterday’s close of 23,460.00- so the trend is negative.
Investors in the Indian stock market are expected to monitor a range of companies today, September 11, in light of significant business developments, order acquisitions, regulatory approvals, fundraising initiatives, and various corporate announcements. Texmaco Rail & Engineering, Sterlite Technologies, Poonawalla Fincorp, Vodafone Idea, and Fino Payments Bank are among the stocks expected to attract attention.
In Thursday’s trade, the local equities exhibited a notable recovery, bolstered by robust purchasing in specific financial stocks, which enabled the headline indices to break their three-day losing streak. The Nifty 50 concluded the session with a gain of 0.20% at 23,477, while the S&P BSE Sensex rose 0.19% to 74,902. The broader markets, however, remained in the red, with the Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 indices closing 0.38% and 0.07% lower, respectively.
Equities to Monitor:
- Texmaco Rail & Engineering has successfully obtained an order valued at Rs 27.82 crore from Hindalco Industries. This order entails the provision of one BTAP rake and one brake van, intended for the Aditya Expansion Project. The order must be executed within eight months from the date of the purchase order.
- Sterlite Technologies has launched plenum-rated optical fibre trunk assemblies tailored for AI data centers, achieving US OFNP certification for its range of 48F to 576F intermittently bonded ribbon pre-terminated assembly portfolio. The assemblies are tailored for indoor applications within hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers.
- Poonawalla Fincorp has sanctioned the issuance of secured, redeemable, rated, and listed non-convertible debentures amounting to Rs 2,000 crore via private placement. The issue has a base size of Rs 100 crore and a green shoe option of Rs 400 crore.
- Fino Payments Bank reported a year-on-year increase of 12% in average total deposits, reaching Rs 2,821 crore in August, up from Rs 2,509 crore the previous year. Loan referral disbursals experienced a remarkable increase of 367%, reaching Rs 243 crore, while the throughput of cash management services rose by 17%, totalling Rs 6,669 crore. Transaction throughput experienced a decline of 19%, totalling Rs 3,770 crore, while the number of deposit accounts opened decreased by 22%, reaching 2.43 lakh. The digitally active customer base increased by 15%, reaching 65.6 lakh.
- Vodafone Idea: A consortium of lenders, spearheaded by the State Bank of India, has consented to extend approximately $3.5 billion in debt financing to Vodafone Idea, aimed at facilitating the telecom operator’s efforts to reconstruct its business, as reported by Bloomberg, referencing sources with knowledge of the situation.
- Neogen Chemicals has established the floor price for its Qualified Institutional Placement at Rs 2,189.73 per equity share.
- Ameenji Rubber has secured a purchase order valued at Rs 24.15 crore from North East Frontier Railroad for the production and delivery of CGRSP.
- Responsive Industries: The board of the company is scheduled to convene on September 17, 2026, to deliberate on a proposal regarding the repurchase of the company’s equity shares. The trading window for designated persons and their immediate relatives will remain closed until 48 hours following the board meeting.
- Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned 35 MW of wind power capacity, contributing to its broader initiative of a 150 MW Wind Solar Hybrid Power Project. With this commissioning, capacity under the project stands at 175 MWp compared to the planned 190 MWp.
- KIMS has established an exclusive Operations and Management Agreement with Sarvottam Health Care, set for an initial duration of five years, with the possibility of extension for an additional five years. KIMS will oversee and administer the facility, receiving a fee that amounts to 9% of total net revenue.
