GIFT Nifty Opening Update

SUGS Lloyd, HCL Technologies, Solex Energy, Allied Blenders & Distillers, and Persistent Systems are among the stocks expected to attract attention. JSW Dulux may also attract attention following the company’s announcement of the record date for its proposed 1:10 stock split.
Equities to Monitor:
- SUGS Lloyd has obtained a Rs 213.48 crore contract from Marshal Enterprises for low-tension and high-tension infrastructure loss-reduction projects under the RDSS initiative in Punjab. The projects were initially conferred by PSPCL.
- HCL Technologies: HCLTech has been chosen by the UK-based infrastructure services provider M Group to enhance IT operations at over 200 locations. The company announced its intention to implement the AI Force service transformation platform within the framework of the AI-led managed services program.
- Solex Energy: The solar PV module manufacturer has established a revenue target of Rs 4,500 crore by FY28, detailing its expansion strategy at its 12th Annual General Meeting.
- Oil sensitive stocks: Crude oil prices continued to decline, with Brent crude decreasing by 2.5% to $97.8 per barrel, marking its lowest point in two weeks. This drop follows reports indicating that Iran has proposed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a week, contingent upon the US easing military pressure and lifting its blockade of Iranian ports.
- Adani Stocks: Billionaire Gautam Adani’s group firms have resolved one of the investigations concerning allegations from a US short-seller, thereby alleviating some of the regulatory pressures facing the ports-to-power conglomerate, according to a report.
- Allied Blenders & Distillers: Co-promoter Bina Kishore Chhabria intends to divest 55 lakh shares, representing a 1.97% stake, in the open market from September 23 to October 31 to comply with minimum public shareholding regulations.
- Persistent Systems has raised its ownership in Nagarro to 83.25% by acquiring an additional 61.15% via its voluntary public takeover offer. The additional acceptance period for Nagarro shareholders is set to commence on September 23 and conclude on October 6.
- JSW Dulux has established October 22, 2026, as the record date for its 1:10 stock split. Under the approved proposal, each fully paid-up equity share with a face value of Rs 10 will be subdivided into 10 shares with a face value of Re 1 each.
