GIFT Nifty Opening Update
GIFT Nifty opened today at 22,632.50. It is down -83.00 points (-0.37%) from yesterday’s close of 22,659.50- so the trend is negative.

GIFT Nifty was trading at approximately 22,629, reflecting a decline of nearly 30 points from the prior close of Nifty futures, indicating a subdued start for the benchmark indices. On Wednesday, Indian equities concluded the last trading session of September with losses, as the recent relief rally faltered due to profit booking at elevated levels. The Nifty 50 experienced a decline of 0.42%, closing at 22,620, and has now remained below the significant 23,000 threshold for the third consecutive session. The Sensex experienced a decline of 0.07%, concluding the session at 72,480.

- Infosys – The company has extended its strategic partnership with Dutch lender ABN AMRO to support the bank in expanding the adoption of artificial intelligence across its operations.
- HDFC Bank – Sudhir Kumar Jha, Group Head – Legal & Group General Counsel, has officially retired from HDFC Bank as of the close of business on September 30, 2026. Upon his retirement, he has also stopped being categorised as a Senior Management Personnel of the bank.
- ACME Solar Holdings, via its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Sigma Urja, has successfully commissioned Phase-I of the battery energy storage system component of its FDRE project located in Rajasthan.
- Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone – Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on Wednesday inaugurated the $750 million Phase II expansion of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone’s Colombo West International Terminal.
- NTPC Green has declared that the fourth tranche of 50 MW solar capacity, part of the total 300 MW solar component under the 200 MW Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock project in Rajasthan, has begun commercial operations as of 00:00 hours on October 2, 2026.
- Muthoot Finance – Muthoot Capital Services announced the completion of two Direct Assignment transactions on September 30, 2026. Through the transactions, the company raised Rs 39.55 crore and Rs 100.76 crore by assigning two-wheeler loan receivables valued at Rs 43.94 crore and Rs 111.96 crore, respectively.
- ideaForge Technology has secured several orders totalling Rs 23.62 crore from domestic civil clients for the provision of unmanned aerial vehicles, in addition to accessories and training services.
- Indian Railway Finance Corporation has been issued a show-cause notice amounting to Rs 396.91 crore by the Bihar tax authorities regarding GST-related issues for the fiscal year 2023.
- Jio Financial Services and Allianz Europe B.V. have each contributed Rs 320.05 crore to their 50:50 joint venture, Jio Allianz General Insurance.
- NCC has secured two orders valued at a total of Rs 500.22 crore, excluding GST, in September 2026. The orders consist of Rs 224.74 crore from the Buildings Division and Rs 275.48 crore from the Transportation Division.
